Beauty salon opens in the Hirafu district of the Niseko area
On May 14, WeCorporation (Niseko Town), a company engaged in the management and operation of accommodation facilities and new business proposals, opened ‘Smooth Niseko’ – a total-beauty salon offering treatments such as head spas and hair removal – in a vacant store in the Hirafu district of the town of Kutchan. The salon aims to create a place where women can also spend time in comfort in the area, where outdoor activities are popular. The salon is expected to become a space for healing and relaxation not only for tourists but for local customers, too.
According to the company, this is the first salon in the Niseko area to offer comprehensive beauty treatments in one location. The company decided to open the salon in anticipation of demand from female customers who would use it during long stays or, as the company suggests, “while their partners enjoy skiing or golf.”
The salon has a bright atmosphere with a white- and gray-based interior. It offers a wide variety of services, including head spas, hair removal, eyelash perms and slimming services, starting from 8,800 yen. A menu of services for men, and student discounts are also available. There are three private rooms available, and English is spoken. The salon also focuses on selling cosmetics, shampoos, facial and other products using water from the snowmelt of Mt. Yotei.
“We want to identify the needs from the perspective of the locals, and create a comfortable community,” says company CEO Azumade Sho.
