"Niseko Stand Mori Deai" opens in Susukino with Shiribeshi alcohol and foods

"Niseko Stand Mori Deai", a bar offering a plentiful array of foods and beverages from Shiribeshi

Hotel and restaurant proprietor Daiichi Kaikan (Kutchan) opened a bar called “Niseko Stand Mori Deai” in the Susukino area of Sapporo. The bar features a plentiful selection of items produced in the Shiribeshi district including food items such as cheese and ham in addition to beer, Japanese sake, gin, and fruit juice. The bar interior plays videos promoting tourism in the Shiribeshi area, advertising the allure of Shiribeshi to bar customers at a prime location within Sapporo.

“Mori Deai” opened on December 3 in the first floor of the restaurant plaza in Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel, located at South 4 West 5, Chuo-ku, Sapporo.
The alcoholic beverages include beer from Lupicia (Niseko), gin from the Niseko Distillery (Niseko), Japanese sake from Niseko Shuzo (Kutchan), whisky from Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery (Yoichi), and Shiribeshi wine. The bar also serves nonalcoholic beverages like pure fruit juice made with 100% Yoichi-grown grapes and apples and Lupicia tea.

The food selections include items like Shiribeshi-produced ham and cheese plates, and pizzas. The pizza features dough made with natural yeast produced by a Daiichi Kaikan affiliated bakery in Kutchan and has topping options like whitebait “shirasu” fish from Suttsu. The bar television screen is slated to show footage of tourist spots such as Niseko area ski resorts and the Shinsen Marsh in the near future.

President Nakai Naoki commented, “We want to promote the allure of Shiribeshi in a popular Sapporo downtown area to spark interest in Shiribeshi area tourism.”
The bar is open 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. every day, except during the New Year vacation closure (December 30 – January 2).
