Well-Known Tea Company 'Lupicia' Moving Headquarters to Niseko

On July 15, major tea retailer Lupicia will move its headquarters from its current location in Shibuya-ward, Tokyo to Niseko Town.
The members of some divisions, including the management division and product development division, will be transferred to Niseko Town, and 2 Lupicia group companies will also move to Niseko at the same time. They plan to develop their headquarters and group companies in Niseko as a hub for around 100 employees by this coming winter.
Lupicia will construct a new head-office building next year. Under the COVID-19 crisis, more and more people have started to reevaluate the value of a dense urban area focused work format. Lupicia’s decision of transferring its headquarters will surely attract attention as a way to decentralize its hub from Tokyo to a local place outside of the city.
