Heart illuminated by candlelight. Scenic Night in Kutchan
A “Scenic Night” with candlelight illuminating the winter town was held on February 20 in several spots around the town of Kutchan, which neighbors the town of Niseko.
This year marks the 15th installment. At Togeshita Chain Fitting & Dismounting Station, one of the major venues, a heart shape illuminated with candles appeared as if floating in the air in front of an approximately 30-meter-wide snow sculpture engraved with the words “Scenic Night 2021”
Though the candles were unfortunately blown out by strong winds at times, visitors enjoyed taking commemorative photographs.
