Buckwheat Flower Covered Hills

Kuroda Farm in the town of Otofuke in eastern Hokkaido, where buckwheat flowers are in full bloom, is now open to the public from July 13.
This year 5 hectares were planted with “Kitawase” buckwheat. The seeds were sown in June and now the hillside field is covered by white flowers.
The buckwheat field is usually not open to the public. However, Kuroda Farm owner Mr. Kuroda said, “I’ve decided to open it this year hoping that the sight of beautiful flowers will ease the public’s stress from the novel coronavirus pandemic”.
