Sunset cape

Cape Ogon in Rumoi City is known for its beautiful sunset.

Families shouted with joy during the daytime while enjoying the popular beach crab fishing on the cape, and then watched in awe as the sun set over the calm evening sea. Although it is hard to imagine from such a view, rough waves hit Cape Ogon in winter, making it one of the three locations with the largest waves in the world. The cape is affected by typhoons in autumn. Once, large stones washed by surging waves broke the glass of nearby shops and filled the roads along the coastline.
The calmness seen only for a period of time in summer may actually be the illusion. After the sun set below the horizon, the sky turned orange and dark blue.
