Large-scale development resort in Niseko to be run by Hong Kong Rosewood
The Hong Kong luxury-hotel management company Rosewood Hotel Group is expanding its portfolio to run the resort currently under construction in the town of Niseko in central Hokkaido. It is hoped the large-scale development comprising a 220-unit condominium complex and 5 detached units will open in the winter of 2023 as NEW WORLD La Plume NISEKO RESORT, a brand developed by Rosewood in China and Southeast Asian.
The news was revealed by Virginia Inc. (Niseko), the Hong Kong-based real-estate development company involved in the construction.
The development site covers approximately 4.2 hectares of the Soga district in the town of Niseko, approximately 1.2 km southwest of the Niseko Village Ski Resort. The development will comprise a condominium complex equipped with swimming pool, hot spring and restaurant, as well as five detached units. The condominiums will be sold and the complex run like a hotel, with the rooms rented out. Construction will begin in earnest no earlier than June this year.
