Lake Toya circuit tour in open top bus

The travel agency JTB partnered with three local tourist associations to offer a Lake Toya circuit tour course in an “open top bus” from April 28 to the end of May.
The open top bus has 49 seats. The top can be removed in good weather, making it easy to enjoy a panoramic view from the seats.
The tour is available in the new JTB tour package “Lake Toya Gurutto Open Top Bus”. The courses are available in two options: a 2.5-hour Short Course (2,800 yen for adults) around areas including Lake Hill Farm and the Silo Observatory and a seven-hour Long Course (3,500 yen for adults) that also includes visits to places like Usuzan Ropeway. The seating limit for both courses is 30 passengers. Courses change depending on the time period. The Short Course is offered from April 28 to May 8 and May 20 to 22, and the Long Course is offered from May 27 to 29.
A local man who participated in the April 27 test run commented, “The line of sight was higher than what you normally experience in a car, so it was enjoyable being able to see the lake from a whole new perspective.”
JTB has reported plans to offer another open top bus course in the Lake Toya area next year as well.
